1.First-Time User? Here’s how to get started:

Power on Skyroam Solis X - Hold down the power button for 3 seconds. You will notice a vibration and/or hear a powering on chime.

Connect to Skyroam’s WiFi Network. You can locate Skyroam WiFi network and password on back of device.

Complete account registration.

Click “Start” to activate service.

    Skyroam has three data services to pair with your Skyroam Solis X:

      1. Unlimited 24-hr Global Daypass

      2. Unlimited Monthly Subscription

      3. GoData Monthly Subscription


  • What is an Unlimited Global Daypass?

    A Daypass is a 24-hour pass that provides unlimited global data in 130+ countries for $9 per Daypass. Please keep in mind, customers on Unlimited Daypass may notice lighter speeds if streaming high quality video or downloading large content or file take priority. If you are planning to surf the web, check social media, email, or utilize GPS mapping, then Unlimited Daypass is a fantastic service to bundle with your Skyroam Solis X.


  • What is the Unlimited Monthly Subscription?

    The Unlimited Monthly Subscription is a 30-day monthly subscription that provides unlimited global data in 130+ countries for $99 per month. The subscription automatically renews every 30 days, there are no contracts and you have the option to unsubscribe at anytime.


  • What is the Skyroam GoData Subscription?

    The Skyroam GoData subscription provides 1GB of 100% full speed 4G LTE mobile data each month at one flat rate to use anytime. Buy more data to use anytime during the month at one flat rate per GB. The subscription automatically renews every 30 days, there are no contracts and you have the option to unsubscribe at anytime.


  • What is Global GoData?

    The Skyroam Global GoData subscription provides 1GB of 100% full speed 4G LTE global mobile data to use anytime, anywhere. Buy more data for only $9 per GB flat. The subscription automatically renews every 30 days, there are no contracts and you have the option to unsubscribe at anytime.


  • What is USA only GoData?

    The Skyroam USA GoData subscription, similar to our Global GoData, provides 1GB of 100% full speed 4G LTE mobile data to use anytime in the USA for only $6/month. Buy more data for only $6 per GB flat. The subscription automatically renews every 30 days, there are no contracts and you have the option to unsubscribe at anytime. If service is needed outside of the USA, you may activate and purchase Daypasses.


  • What is Europe only GoData?

    The Skyroam Europe GoData subscription, similar to our Global GoData, provides 1GB of 100% full speed 4G LTE mobile data to use anytime in Europe for only 5€/month. Buy more data for only 5€ per GB flat. See countries covered . If service is needed outside of Europe, you may activate and purchase Daypasses.


  • What is Asia only GoData?

    The Skyroam Asia GoData subscription, similar to our Global GoData, provides 1GB of 100% full speed 4G LTE mobile data to use anytime in Asia for only 4€/month. Buy more data for only 4€ per GB flat. See countries/regions covered . If service is needed outside of Asia, you may activate and purchase Daypasses.


  • Why subscribe to the Skyroam GoData Subscription instead of buying daypasses?

    If you want to use data everyday or most days, at home or abroad, the GoData subscription may save you money. Skyroam Solis WiFi is perfect for commuting, work on the go, or making sure you stay connected where your phone carrier coverage is lacking.


  • What about my daypasses?

    While you are subscribed, you will not be able to use or buy daypasses. However, daypasses remain on your account for use if you decide to unsubscribe from the GoData Subscription.


  • Will my data be slowed down or throttled at any point?

    No, you’ll have 100% full speed 4G LTE data where available.


  • What if I need more than 1GB of data this month?

    Buy more global data anytime for only $9 or 8€ per GB. Click “GoData” on the shop page and select the number of GBs you want through the end of the month.


3.Can I make phone calls with Skyroam?

Skyroam global WiFi hotspot only provides data service, and does not support cellular voice calls. However, our service does support most VoIP (Voice-Over-Internet Protocol) call applications such as FaceTime, Facebook calls, Skype, WhatsApp, Viber, and more.

4.Can I use Skyroam in multiple countries within one day?

Yes, Skyroam Solis X can be used in 130+ countries. The hotspot will connect to local cellular towers to ensure users have data connection in Skyroam’s coverage areas.

5.How does Skyroam connect globally?

Our patented virtual SIM embedded in your Skyroam global hotspot automatically finds a local signal from our mobile network partners in each country you visit. There is no physical SIM required to access Skyroam’s global network.

6.How do I use the power bank function?

The Skyroam Solis X has a built in power bank so you can charge your gadgets on the go! Simply insert the USB-C to USB adapter into the charging port, plug in your gadget's charging cable to the adapter  and connect your gadget to the cable to begin charging.

7.Where is the camera located on the Skyroam Solis X?

The camera is located on the side of the Skyroam Solis X.

8.How do I use the camera?

To use the camera feature on Skyroam Solis X:

1. Connect to Skyroam Solis X WiFi Network

2. Open the Solis App on your smartphone

3. On the status page, select “Camera”

4. Preview the photo or video you’d like to capture

5. Click the round orange button on Solis App

*There is no physical button on the Skyroam Solis X, you must use the Solis App to capture

9. What are the camera specifications?

Camera Sensor: 8 MP

Video: 720p

Field of View: 80°

Aperture: f/2.4

ISO: 100 to 1600

10. Why can’t I preview and use my camera with the web account portal a.skyroam.com?

The Skyroam Solis X camera features are only compatible with our Solis App. In order to fully use this feature, the mobile app is needed.

11. Can I raise or lower the chime volume?

To raise or lower the chime volume:

1. Please visit the Status screen on the Solis WiFi app and select the hamburger icon on the upper right hand corner.

2. In the control center, you can adjust volume by sliding the bar.

12. Can I turn the chimes off?

Yes, you can turn off the chimes. To turn off the chimes:

1. Visit the status screen of the Solis WiFi app

2. Click on the hamburger menu on the upper right hand corner to access the control center

3. Once on the control center, slide the volume bar all the way to the left. This will turn off all sound.

13. Can I customize the chimes?

No, you cannot customize the chimes at the moment. These chimes are preset.
